'Snippets from Japan' is a personal project on TikTok highlighting my October trip to Japan, through the use of short-form video and Photo Mode to create digital journals. To give a sense of cohesiveness, I created 'title cards' that could be used for each and every possible post I could make with the content I had compiled.

Nickainley was selected as the main typeface to play into the journalistic nature of the project, along with TT Commons Pro Bold to supplement. All graphics were made in Canva for easy, on-the-go editing and posting.
Since all Photo Mode posts were intended to be a daily journal of my experiences in Japan,
I arranged the elements for the cover image in a way to mimic a page in a journal.

The title card design was adjusted for video, with all elements aligned to the centre. These were placed as overlays on the timeline, so that the resulting frame could then be selected as the cover for the post.
